Life's been crazy as usual lately crazier than I imagined it could be in some ways and it's not just for me but most if not everyone of my friends and family are going through some measure of difficulty or just plain fucking tough situations too. I'm freer than I have been for some time and I do enjoy that though, it's been a while since I would throw myself into my art and say fuck it to all the little fears and bullshit that can swim around the mind when you try to make a living from it. In any case here are some sketches and stuff from the last couple of weeks, not all of what I should be posting but they will be scanned when it gets scanned.

A collaboration with a pal of mine, he gave me cool idea so I did this for the hell of it.

More sketches writing for my story I'm working on, it's been somewhat slow going on it lately.

Some thing I finally brought outside of the sketch book a couple of weeks ago, Ink, gouache and a bit of dry media. Better pictures of the it to come.

A Painting I started while I was still in Sarasota, it bothered me to look at it lately so I went back in changed somethings. I worked on it a bit more after this picture. I'm leaving it alone for now but I know more needs be done

Well I thought that last post was my last one, but I had and have more at that needed to be up before the end of the year. Some of the sketch pages are from earlier this year, I bumped into them while I was going through my stuff. The pictures and scans don't do some of the drawings and such justice. In any case Happy New Year everybody, don't get too fucked up.

This is the last update of the year, and what a year it has been. Onto 2012 and what is sure to be a crazy year if this last one is any sign. These drawings are some that I was assigned to do for an internship I applied for but I'm not sure if that is going to pan out or not, in any case it was nice to do these sketches and do the research for them..

I'm finally back on the internet after nearly two months, been living back in my old town taking care of my old place till things get wrapped up it's serving as my very nice sized studio. I've been staying up late reading, creating and relaxing to be honest. In any case like I said I've been creating, from morning till morning sometimes painting and drawing. Some of the scans are not that great my poor scanner is cracking up. On to the rest of an over due update.

A painting I did recently of the view from one of the windows in my house. I've done some painting over the last few months and wish I had some more more panels to work with, after working on this (24x36) and a few others of the same size I know I work better at a smaller scale.

A couple of pages from the small sketchbook. After moving and sorting some of my stuff I realized I had around 45 or so sketchbook most if not all of them done during my time in school, a few from my two years at the local college and the majority during my time at Ringling. It's crazy how much you do without realizing it sometimes, looking over them I definitely learned a few things. Actually I have some art to make, so till next update.

I have been keeping a small sketch/note book with me and writing my ideas, insight and other such things down. I did this normally but now I am making an effort to be more thorough. It's working out well especially to capture what I think right after I have a dream or when I am up really late.

Did this as one of my images for computer Ill and this was the only successful image at least till i tweak the other two. I need to keep working in this way it just clicked wit some things. I enjoyed working with my group and got a head band out of it. It was good to work with folks who have a different approach and outlook.

Lately I have doing more studies. Landscapes and plants and trees mostly in color. Trying to improve my observation of color and how quickly and accurately I can get it down then refine them later possibly.

Any how on Monday some of my sketches where posted on sweet-station.com, I was surprised when I was contacted by the site moderator through flickr and even more so when she said she would put some work up. Life is always surprising and sometimes pleasantly so. I advise you to check out the site quite a wonderful variety of artist are posted everyday.
